Loose Krew – Release

Format- Design project.

Both Webpage and Graphic Design.

Webpage – The page will be designed to be interesting, and easy to use. With our audience being young teens to mid twenties (approximately 11-26) we want our website to be intriguing to people that fall into that category. The colors, textures, and designs are all meant to bring in young people and show them what our brand is all about.

WEBPAGE DEMO

Graphic Design- The designs on the shirts (Long sleeve, T-shirt, Tank) are meant to bring attention to whoever is wearing it. The colors are to be vibrant and “loud” and the designs are originals that are attempting to bring new flavor and possibilities to clothing. All to often these days we see people wearing similar clothing, Loose Krew shirts are meant to stand out and be different than others. When people see Loose Krew shirts for the first time, they will be instantly intrigued and interested because it will be like nothing they have seen before.

SHIRT DEMOS

Content- Lots of shirt designs. Lots and LOTS, of shirt designs. With Loose Krew being so young, we feel it is important to explore every creative avenue we can find, this way we can experiment with our audience and find out what truly “works.” If we only create a specific amount of shirts, then we could miss one that could bring us to next level.

Research- To sell anything is this day and age you have to sell more then just a product. Loose Krew is going to be more than just a t-shirt. It’s a statement and will be a household name. People don’t just want to buy products, they want something meanful that does more than cover their naked bodies.

Many clothing companies with similar audiences sponsor popular or extreme athletes and have them wear their clothing to make it seem cool to wear their brand, our goal is to make it so everyone can wear it. It won’t make you cool, it’ll make you heard. It will make people notice you and when they see what you are wearing it will demand respect.

Tools- Facebook, Twitter, loosekrew.com,

LooseKrew is an online based business and therefore our tools are online. Facebook and twitter allows us to reach out to new and potential customers, and the website is where purchases and orders are going to be made. The website is under construction right now and will hopefully be fully operational (allowing for browsing, purchases, and reviews/comments) within the next year.

Programs: Adobe photoshop, Illustrator (for design purposes)

Peer List- Everyone. Loose Krew is about the people. We want our customers to be heard and if they have an opinion on a shirt it will taken into consideration, so they know it is truly their own voice being projected through the Loose Krew designs and not just another shirt.

Things I’ve learned:

  • Some html
    • Basic html code.
      • Adding pictures and text
      • Things that work and don’t when it comes to webpage design
        • How to appropriately decide on colors
        • How to decide on fonts
        • Skills on how design an interesting and workable webpage

How can we use the talents and skills we’ve learned during our time in New Media combined with our interests and passions to create a meaningful project that could be converted into a career?

Research:

We looked at other clothing companies and saw how they conducted business. All the major companies were about popular appeal. They sponsored major athletes or celebrities in order to bring themselves new customers.

One major component we really found interesting was the “mission statement” we found on some sites. This is where they company told the potential customers about their product and told them about the aim of the brand. We applied this to our site and want it to be a key part of our company, when people think of our brand, we want them to remember what the statement says and how we continue to strive towards it.

Grown:

Understanding how complex a business is. We know we are going to have to put money into this project in order to receive anything back. Our entail designs have been received very well and a lot of people have said they want to buy a couple of the shirts. We have to find a printer that can make the quality we want and figure out a reasonable price so we can turn a profit on the endeavor
